Praise for Blue Spruce Theatre

Our inaugural show, Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years, was presented April '07 at the Black Box in the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

"BLUE SPRUCE THEATRE puts down some strong roots with its very first production, the bittersweet chamber musical, THE LAST FIVE YEARS ... Van De Giesen [excels] in the humorous “Ohio” song and Prescott [wins] us over with the “Schmuel” fable ...."
-- Beverly Creasey, The Theater Mirror (read entire review here)

"Splendidly sung by Jeffrey Prescott as Jamie and Alyson Van De Giesen as Cathy, under Jesse Strachman's well focused direction, with fine orchestral accompaniment (two keyboards, guitar, violin and cello) as conducted by Michael Kreutz."
-- Norm Gross, PMP Network (read entire review here)

Late Night Cabaret
Blue Spruce Theatre is committed to bringing quality intimate entertainment to areas outside of Boston. Part of that mission is our Late Night Cabaret series, which started out alongside our first production. Cabaret shows were held immediately following our Friday and Saturday night performances of our "mainstage" production. We hope to continue this new tradition in our next and subsequent seasons.
